Ganeshgudi & Dandeli

Dandeli is located in north-west karnataka state of India. It received heavy rainfall during August to November. It has good forest cover and moderate elevation, the location has a tropical highland climate, averaging about 27 °C (81 °F) in summer and 18 °C (64 °F) in winter.

I stayed at Old Magazine House in Ganeshgudi, Ganeshgudi can be visited any time throughout the year; however, most visitors prefer to visit the place during the winter season which starts from October and goes up until mid March. Old Magazine House Forest Camp here is evergreen forests and offers a thrilling jungle experience and approximately 1800 ft above sea level. The camp is well known for nature lovers and bird watchers. Some birds seen at the studio.

On fine Evening, I went outside the Old Magazine House premises to see Malabar Trogons and Minivets. I was lucky enough to get records shots of Vernal Hanging Parrot, Black headed Cuckoo-shrike (F) and Oriental Honey Buzzard.
